Sarita Kenedy East Law

Kell Muñoz Architects’ primary objective for the Sarita Kenedy East Law Library was to design a technologically sophisticated building equipped with up-to-date computer systems that would also express the rich history of St. Mary’s University.

The law library houses 250,000 volumes, and contains the latest on-line catalogs, computer-based information retrieval systems, and computer instructional areas for students. The use of flat arches and red brick in combination with classical rounded arches and cast stone on the exterior of the library building serves to complement the existing low-center campus buildings and the older surrounding structures.
